It’s not been a total disaster.

That appeared to be Chris Wilder’s message to the fans when talking about the start that we have made to the season. Despite finding ourselves in the bottom three and with only one goal scored, Wilder appears to be pretty confident that this won’t be the norm for us this season.

Speaking to the club, Wilder talked about the first few games of the campaign, spending a lot of time touching on the emotional side of the game that the players and staff have been through in the opening weeks:

I personally am not going to fall into the ‘doom and gloom’ stage just yet. I said that a fall was more than likely going to occur this season, and this start doesn’t mean anything just yet, there’s still plenty of games to play and a lot that can change.

And I think that the international break is a good chance for everyone to just regroup, calm down and get to work on how to better ourselves. We’ve got Fulham as our first game back, a game we must be confident of getting three points on based on their start to the season, which has been worse than ours.

What about you? What do you make of Wilder’s comments? Are you confident him and his coaching staff will be able to turn things around
