The Blades travel to Ipswich on Saturday knowing that
they’re recent record at Portman Road is somewhat
dire. The last time the Blades recorded a victory in a
match was in 1975 back in the old first division. The
Blades go into the game on the back of last weeks cup
exit to Colchester despite Neil Warnock claiming to be
happy his team are out of both domestic cup
competitions. In contrast, Uniteds Championship form
is reflecting their league position with three wins on
the bounce, but they will have to be at their best to
take maximum points from the Blades bogey team.

Gary Flitcroft has signed an 18 month contract and
goes straight into the squad but is not expected to
make the starting 11 with Warnock likely to go with
the team that recorded a victory over Hull at the KC
Stadium. Chinese internation defender Zhang Yaokun has
signed a three month loan deal from Dalian Shide but
whether he will make the squad or not remains to be
seen. Craig Short is the only absentee for the game so
it is likely that Chris Morgan will partner the
returning Leigh Bromby in the heart of the defence.

Potato head Joe Royle takes Ipswich into the game in
15h place with his team seemingly not performing this
year, although Royle has noted that the side is
undergoing a transformation. Recently they let a two
goal lead slip at Stoke but put in an impressive
performance to take all three points against Luton.
Royle has signed Alan Lee from Cardiff and is expected
to make his debut against the red and white wizards.
Forwards Nicky Forster, Sam Parkin and former grunter
Adam Proudlock are all missing so Ipswich will be
light on numbers up front. Jim Magilton has been
struggling with a back problem but is expected to be
fit in time for Saturdays clash.
