Saturday’s Guardian have reported that Horsfield is set to join the Blades on an initial 3-month loan deal with a view to making the move a permenent one.
Blades boss Neil Warnock has made it a well-known fact that he is in search of extra fire-power, as his side look to keep up the form that has seen them stay in the automatic promotion spots for the majority of the season. He is a known admirer of Horsfield and has been continuously linked with moves for the hefty striker.
However, many Blades fans will recall a quote by Warnock, a couple of years ago, along the lines of ‘He is good, but I would rather have Ashley Ward’. This came after a game in which Horsfield played in, against Wigan. So where is Ashley Ward now then Mr. Warnock?!
Horsfield, who signed a 2-year contract last summer, has only started one Premiership game in the last two months.
