Sheffield United were beaten two-nil by Wigan in League 1 on Saturday.

Another setback to the United promotion bid saw Wigan, who are looking a good bet for an automatic promotion place if not going on to win the title, score twice in three-minutes in the second half.

Will Grigg scored from the penalty spot when Yanic Wildschut was fouled by Chris Basham with that added to by Everton loanee Conor McAleny on his debut. Grigg could afford to miss another penalty after Chris McCann was tripped by Paul Coutts late on.
