The Blades currently sit in 2nd place on 38 points, just 3 points behind 1st place Burnley, and Paul Heckingbottom has issued a warning to the rest of the Championship’s promotion hopefuls.

Sheffield United picked up their form before the world cup break winning four out of their last five matches, including a 5-2 victory over Burnley, after going six games without a win across the month of October.

Speaking to The Star, Paul Heckingbottom issued a warning to its Championship rivals:

“I think it’s capable of doing even more and we can’t be relaxed about that or take anything for granted.

“We want more. We can never settle for what we’ve got right now.”

United’s Championship campaign gets back underway on the 10th of December at Bramall Lane against Huddersfield Town. The Blades were unable to register a win over their Yorkshire rivals last season, but the Terriers are in desperate need of points this season.

Huddersfield Town is at the bottom of the pile, and they have the worst away record in the division, winning just once in nine attempts. Altogether accumulating five points away from home.

The Blades could be handed a huge boost when they return to league action with Sander Berge, Tommy Doyle, John Fleck, Jayden Bogle and Max Lowe all potentially back in the squad or nearing full fitness for the 10th of December.
