Daniel Jebbison and Will Osula are seen as the next big things to come out of the Sheffield United academy, hopefully following in Iliman Ndiaye’s footsteps. Ndiaye broke into the senior team last season and scored a brace on his debut against Peterborough in the league. Jebbison and Osula are showing similar signs of progressing in the same vein.

In the 20/21 season, during Paul Heckingbottom’s reign, Daniel Jebbison made his Sheffield United debut and he took his chance with both hands as he became a Premier League record breaking goalscorer.

Jebbison, 19, was sent on loan to Burton Albion last season and he made full use of his loan spell, scoring 7 goals in 14 starts in League One. His spell was eventually cut short as United’s front line was hampered with injury.

Osula, 18, has been ripping it up in the Development League for United’s u23’s, and because of last seasons injuries, he was given a place on the bench and he looked impressive in his 5 appearances.

The two teenagers have been recently praised by the United manager:

“They’re babies, they’re still 18. We’ve been talking about Jebbo for ages, but he’s still a baby and they’ve got nowhere near the football knowledge and nous but they have attributes.

“If they learn how to use them and show it, they can do things that other players can’t because of their physical capabilities. It’s about learning how to use them. They’re different players, totally different, but say if they see Billy in a finishing drill, how seriously he takes it, that can only help without a doubt.

“They enjoy playing together and, listen, they’re gonna be good players. You can see what they’ve got. If the penny dropped really quick, and they realise what they’ve got better than everyone else in terms of physicality and pace and learned how to use that, they’d be so dangerous.

“At the minute, we do see it, we see the glimpse, Jebbo’s goal the other day, Will’s goals against Lincoln, the second one in particular, Jebbo did well for Will’s first goal. So yeah, they’ve got moments which are game-changing.

“And that’s what we want to keep trying to work on. So to say they’re 18 at the minute by the time they’re 20 that could be really dangerous. They’re here, we’ve got no players, certainly no rush. They’re here and it’s up to them to get in the team.” [Via Yorkshire Live]
