Well, it’s the first step.

Quite literally, as ESPN’s Dale Johnson put it, this is step one in the process, and there is still a long way to go before things can become what might be called ‘serious’, but at least it’s something to look forward to.

The Premier League announced that as of today, clubs are allowed to ramp up their training regimes when it comes to getting players ready to play matches again, by opening up training centres for players to train in small groups, with ‘stage two’ hopefully not too far away after that once we have an idea of when games can be played again.

So when the news came out that the season was getting one step closer to being completed, Blades fans on social media couldn’t contain themselves. As some fans pointed out, with the club on the verge of qualifying for Europe, it means we’re one step closer to finding out if we can make it after all.
