Olly writes his latest article following today’s home victory over Norwich.

I was all geared up for getting my bum back on my seat on the Kop however I ended up with car trouble which I had to sort out before I head off to the airport this evening for my holiday.

I didn’t listen to the game on BBC Radio Sheffield as there were other commentaries on at the time so had to rely on the BBC website for updates and Geoff on Sky Gillette Soccer Saturday.

The team looked pretty strong with Sharp and Fleck starting, as well as Norwood and Woodburn in midfield, and I was chuffed that Egan scored the opener after nine minutes, although I’ve been slating him a little since he signed for the record transfer fee and has been under-performing until today. Maybe he’s needed time to gel into the team.

Unfortunately, the on-loan piggy from S6 equalised, so I was sat waiting for what the ticker tape on telly was going to chuck up next. I was quite expecting a draw to be honest, but the injury time winner from Sharp put the icing on the cake and a full three points for us, which moves us up to eighth in the League.

It appeared Norwood has been pretty influential since joining us with crosses and assists going on, just shows that was a brilliant bit of transfer business by CW, having to strengthen the midfield with the absence of Coutts, and today Duffy who I believe was ill.

Bolton on the agenda next week and I hope we’ll turn these over at their place. I think they left a sour taste when they played at the Lane the other year with Gary Washing-machine being sent home in a taxi prior to kick-off. They haven’t done too bad though having won three of their games so far, not much possession in their match today so I hope we can put them to the sword with our midfield play-makers.

Anyway, gutted not to have been there but hope it’s put us on a roll now and we can enjoy the winning feeling again for a while.

UTB!!
