24-year-old defender Heneghan heads to Bloomfield Road until the end of the season and having made only one appearance for the Blades last season (Preston North End in the FA Cup in January) following his arrival in the summer of 2017 from Motherwell it’ll be a good chance for him to hopefully get a good run of minutes and game time under his belt.
Midfielder Thomas makes the switch out to Meadow Lane having made three appearances for manager Chris Wilder last season following his arrival from Hartlepool United in the summer. In the second half of the season of 2017/18 Thomas spent time out with Shrewsbury Town on a loan deal, so it should also be a good opportunity for him to get more regular action under his belt once again.
Wilder had already revealed that both were available earlier in the summer and with their wages off the books for a bit now, fans are hopeful we can welcome a new face in sooner rather than later.

As long as it’s on loan I don’t mind this, when played they both seemed like excellent young players , however have gotten little time playing to prove themselves
