Former Premier League winger lands at Longford…

Former Blade Keith Gillespie is back in the game, signing a short term deal with Longford Town.

Gillespie, who played an integral part in the Blades Premier League season and will now link up with the Irish outfit for the remainder of the season.

The 36 year-old was signed on a free transfer by Neil Warnock, after being released by Leicester City and despite playing second fiddle to Paul Ifill in the promotion season, made a bigger impact the following year in the Premier League, including a goal at Bramall Lane against his former club Manchester United.

Now Gillespie is back in Ireland to feature for the Airtricity League First Division promotion chasers.
