Lots of Blades fans have been left in stitches as they react to some throwback footage that the club posted yesterday.
It doesn’t quite have the same ring to it as ‘they think it’s all over… well it is now’, nor do I expect that it will go down in English folklore in the same manner. But to Blades fans it’s certainly something that we won’t be forgetting in a hurry.
Yesterday marked the three-year anniversary of a very special day in the club’s history as we defeated Northampton Town 2-1 at Sixfields to seal our promotion to the Championship. Leon Clarke and John Fleck got the goals for the Blades that day, but it wasn’t the goals that got people talking as the club dedicated the whole day to it in their Classic Match revisited series.
Which promotion was your favourite?
Championship to Prem
League One to Championship
Rather, it was the footage of the fans running onto the pitch both after Fleck’s goal and at the final whistle that seemed to capture the attention, with fans loving what they saw.

I wonder if we’ll get to do the same when and if we qualify for Europe this year.
