Sheffield United are still set to face Swansea City on Tuesday night. The EFL announced the postponements of all league games between the 9th and 11th of September following the passing of the Queen.

It is thought that consideration to individual fixture circumstances will be given on a case by case basis in line with usual match SAG [Safety Advisory Group] protocols if there are resourcing issues, particularly in respect of policing.

The Blades were set to face South Yorkshire rivals, Rotherham United on Saturday at Bramall Lane, now we await to see if there are any decisions to be made by the EFL for the next round of fixtures.

Tuesday nights opponents, Swansea City, are currently in 19th while the Blades sit top of the league. In recent games against the Welsh club, United have won just twice out of the last 6 games, both of those wins coming at home, with United’s away form at Swansea not being great over the years.

United are also set to travel to Preston on Saturday, September 17, before a two-week international break.

As it stands, there are no meetings planned with the EFL to discuss the postponement of midweek fixtures, but that could change.
