Former Sheffield United striker James Beattie could be on the hunt for a new club after a blazing row with manager Tony Pulis.

The striker left the Blades last January, despite stating that he wanted to remain at Bramall Lane, but it appears a second successive January transfer could be on the horizon for Beattie who has become a hit at the Britannia Stadium, and played a significant role in their Premiership survival.

The reports suggest that the two had to be separated after a blazing row after Saturday’s game at the Emirates when Pulis canceled the players prior arrangements to attend a Christmas party, and ordering them to train.

The most likely destination for Beattie is likely to be the Premiership, with Hull City and Bolton Wanderers crying out for someone to hit the back of the net, or alternatively a move to Newcastle United could be in the interest of both parties.
