Premier League outfit Everton look set to make a bid for Blades target teenage Scottish sensation Lewis Pirie.

Pirie is just 15 years old, a forward in Aberdeen’s youth set-up, but he has sparked interest from several English Premier League teams, as well as Championship promotion candidates Sheffield United.

According to the Press And Journal, Everton is the first team to fire the gun as they aim to sign the talented forward in January.

Pirie, who has found the net 33 times at youth level for club and country this season, can sign a professional deal at Aberdeen when he turns 16 in January but with growing interest from multiple English clubs, he may well be tempted by the interest from clubs such as Everton, Leeds United, Brighton and Sheffield United.

After a recent glowing report from their scouts, the Toffees hope to land Pirie in January, but it remains to be seen whether the rest of the chasing teams will make a formal approach.

It’s going to be interesting to see if the Blades make an approach as they look to stay in the race for the 15-year-old. It would be smart business from the Blades as Lewis Pirie may well be a name to look out for in years to come.

Despite not being a Premier League team, Sheffield United’s development of talented forward players in recent years has been nothing short of remarkable: developing the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Daniel Jebbison, Will Osula, Iliman Ndiaye and Will Lankshear. Lewis Pirie could add his name to that list if he was to sign for the South Yorkshire side.
