“Don’t Refer To Him As A Premier League Player” – These Blades Fans Will Need Convincing After Latest Deal

|

With Sheffield United confirming yesterday evening that we had brought in Cardiff City striker Gary Madine on a loan spell for the remainder of the 2018/19 campaign, it’s fair to say the deal came with a fair bit of baggage.

The 28-year-old found himself on the stiff end of manager Chris Wilder’s tongue back in 2017 when a video emerged suggesting he had insulted fan favourite Billy Sharp, and of course, there’s the time he spent playing for rivals Sheffield Wednesday to factor into the equation.

With Wilder convinced this is a good move to make as we bolster our front line to further boost chances this season with us doing well in the Championship, the player himself has also been saying the right things but he’s got a battle on his hands to win some in the fanbase over.

Reacting to his signing on social media, plenty weren’t happy to see him arrive through the door.
