After high profile mistakes that have cost the Blades points in matches against Sheff Wed, Preston and Leyton Orient, Danny Wilson has spoken out in support of his number one.
“I`m not going to criticise him because it`s tough enough being a goalkeeper as it is.
“He`s an experienced goalkeeper and I`m sure he`s dealt with things throughout his career.
“Yes, things can always be a jolt to your confidence and I have to see how his confidence is.
“He seemed confident enough in training. We`ve shown faith in him before and if he is lacking confidence then I`d look at it. He knows he`s under the miscroscope but he`s got a strength of character.”
The sounds coming from the Blades management seem to insinuate that he will stick with his man in tonight’s game against MK Dons tonight. However, with the reaction of Blades fans being loud and negative at the end of the game on saturday. The question is can Wilson afford to alienate the fans any more by continuing to select Simonsen?
