Disappointing Loss

I wasn`t expecting a loss this afternoon, but it seems to be our way playing against teams lower down in the Championship at the moment.

I was surprised at the team sheet when I saw Stearman on for Wright, and was pleased that Brooks got a start for once, although looking at some of the Twitter comments it was more a crossing game and more suited to Sharp.

I was following the game at home, in between packing my case for going back to work tomorrow evening, and thought we did well to get back to 1-1 before the interval with a decent goal from Brooks, and it looked like we were piling on the pressure more after the break with our usual style of play. We ended up with a lot more possession and fewer shots on target though.

CW looks like he was going for broke again late on with Sharp and Donaldson being thrown on to replace midfield and defenders, but this time it didn`t work.

Not to worry though, we`re still third in the table and in a strong challenging position for promotion, and with Bristol City and Preston our next two opponents, I`m hoping we can grab wins over them. I`m hoping Bristol City match is on Sky on Friday, as I`ll hopefully be able to watch it on British Forces telly while I`m away at sea.

Bristol City have a tough game this evening against Middlesbrough, and Preston got a good win against QPR today, but I`m positive we can beat these two sides.

Anyway, that`ll be me having to follow from afar again for the next few months, I`ll do my articles still and will be hoping to get back for the last few games of the season.

UTB!!
