Decent Three Points

I eventually found the match on BFBS TV yesterday afternoon, having seen the EPG not listing it at first. I was chuffed to be able to watch it, and thought we played some decent football.

When we went 1-0 down I was fearing the worst. To pull it back and win it 2-1 was a decent feat. Both teams were pretty even on possession and shots on target, but with Freeman getting the equaliser on 65 minutes I thought we could edge it towards the end, which we eventually did in stoppage time with a Sharp penalty.

Some of our play was good attacking football, but still needs a bit of work I think. The ball seemed to bounce round a bit too much from player to player, and a lot of the passes were on the heavy side. There wasn`t too much wing play, although Freeman got forward quite a bit and played some good attacking footy. Not bad from a player who sort of went out of favour at the beginning of CW`s reign. He got man of the match, grabbed a good goal, and hopefully will feature a lot more of the future fixtures.

I thought Done and Sharp did okay up front, constantly badgering the opposition defenders. I would have liked to see both of these get on the score sheet from open play though. I wasn`t quite sure about Lafferty, who started on the other wing, but perhaps he needs time to settle in with the rest of the team.

Next match is against Wimbledon away next Saturday, hopefully we can keep our run going.

UTB!!
