I`ve only just managed to get settled back in away at work. I`ve been meaning to find some time to write an article when I arrived; however I have been busy recently and only just found some spare time now.

Yesterday was a fantastic result that put us back on the points track. There are a couple of Sunderland fans onboard this ship who, I think, are avoiding me today! The result against Sunderland comes off the back of three defeats and a draw away at Villa. I watched the Villa game on Forces TV and was impressed on how we came back from conceding two early goals. It was a shame we couldn`t nick the result though. I was really impressed with the away fans at Villa Park. When you have such a fantastic away support as we do, and you can`t hear the home fans sing at all then this is what the team needs.

It`s good to see we are back to having more possession and shots than opposing teams, Sunderland didn`t have one shot on target, so shows that the defenders are doing their jobs. CW seems to be sticking with Stearman though, I would`ve thought Wright would be a main-stay at the back, but can`t complain as Stearman grabbed a goal. I wasn`t that impressed by him before I left though, there seemed to be a few slip-ups when he was on.

I have been a bit confused wondering where Brooks has gone. I did read that he might have had tonsillitis but it seems like he`s been out of the game for a while now. I`m hoping that this isn`t any indication that he`s going to be sold in the JTW like we`ve done in the past with our new starlets.

Coutts is obviously a big loss to us at the moment, and I must admit I`ve criticised Lundstram in recent weeks as he`s got big shoes to fill and wasn`t cutting the bill in the recent defeats. He seems to be improving though and nicked a goal yesterday, so will have to see if he grabs some more for us in the next few matches. Fleck should be back soon as well which will be an added bonus for us.

We`re back up to sixth now though, heading in the right direction at least. I know it`s only our first season back in the Championship but I`m hoping we can gain promotion like Bournemouth did a few seasons ago back to back. It would be fantastic for the team to mix it up with the “big boys” in the Premiership. I`d be happy for the Championship though; I`ve really enjoyed this season and like many other Blades, didn`t expect us to be riding high in the division at this time of year.

Anyway, Bolton next on the 30th and they are second from bottom at the moment. Having said that we still have to guard against being complacent with them. They lost to Boro yesterday, but teams at the bottom have a tendency to pull off some results when they are trying to climb out of the relegation zone.

Cardiff slipped up yesterday as well, so I hope we can get back to grabbing the points and get ourselves nearer the top over the next few games.

As always I`ll be following online, on Twitter, or on the telly.
