Sheffield United fans will be hoping that automatic promotion can be clinched ASAP, but just in case this isn’t the case the play-off semi final dates are now known.
Currently The Blades are in second four points ahead of third placed Sheffield Wednesday, who look likely to face either Notts County, Carlisle, Brentford or Stevenage (all vying for seventh), and will hope to avoid the lottery of the play-off!
Full league one play-off semi final dates:
First Leg 6th v 3rd – Friday 11 May, kick-off 7.45pm
First Leg 5th v 4th – Saturday 12 May, kick-off 12.45pm
Second Leg 3rd v 6th – Monday 14 May, kick-off 7.45pm
Second Leg 4th v 5th – Tuesday 15 May, kick-off 7.45pm
Victory for Sheffield United this weekend and an automatic place is secured if their Steel City rivals fail to win, a draw technically leaves it open but it would be almost a mathematic impossibility that The Blades could be caught.
