Top scorer Richard Cresswell believes Sheffield United have set a standard they must follow up next season, with promotion expected amongst many at S2.

Following a disappointing season at Bramall Lane which saw them finish five points outside the Play-Offs, despite being crippled with injuries, Kevin Blackwell’s men showed signs of their potential with a stunning 3-0 victory at Ipswich Town.

‘We’ve set our standards now and hopefully we can keep things together in the summer and move on into next season in confident mood.

‘Our away form is what has let us down, because we’ve been right up there at home. This win shows what we are capable of when everyone pulls in the same direction.’

Creswell grabbed the final goal of the game, following Mark Yeates’ opener, and Ched Evans strike on his return to the side.

‘Those games don’t come around too often so when they do it’s really enjoyable. We played some fantastic football in the second half and after they had a man sent off we moved the ball really quickly.’
