Sheffield United had McNulty to thanks, who had been a doubt going into this, with his late penalty earning us a point at Crawley on Saturday in the one-one draw at Broadfield Stadium.

Crawley striker Pogba went close early on with an effort from 25-years that Turner had to turn over before Basham did finish off a Murphy cross but the flag was up for offside, so the defender was denied just past the 15-minutes mark.

A chance that should have been taken by Doyle was spurned with Brayford and Freeman both going close along with Harris.

The lead went Crawley’s way though when home debutant Wood (63) headed home a cross from Wordsworth just before the midway point of the second half.

A chance to gain a point, which was the least that we deserved, came out way when Dickson fouled Done to give us a late penalty – McNulty (81) sent Price the wrong way to see it end in a one-one draw.
