It certainly is one of the weirder stories that we’ve been involved in during recent times.
In fact, it might actually be the weirdest, and I’m not entirely sure it’s accurate, but the reaction to it has been something else.
According to a report in The Sun, there’s a rather bizarre claim that Sheffield United’s owner would risk going to jail should the Blades beat Newcastle United when and if their proposed takeover is completed. It’s a rather complicated issue that I’m not smart enough to understand, so I urge you to read the report yourselves to make up your own mind if you think it’s true or not.
Do you think this story has any truth in it?
Yes
No
But this is something that has gone down a right laugh with Newcastle United fans, who seem to think that they’ll be able to take plenty of points off us in the future if this report is real as they took to social media to poke fun at us and our apparent situation.
Community service for a draw aswel is it? 😂😂

They couldn't beat Newcastle before our takeover so no change there then

Wouldn’t it be interesting if the takeover doesn’t happen? Then we’ll see who is laughing.
