Paul Heckingbottom has confirmed that club legend Billy Sharp is now fully fit ahead of Saturday afternoons clash at Preston North End.

The 36 year-olds season hasn’t gotten going yet due to injuries, but he will now be in contention for Saturday’s game.

Even though Sheffield United have been without their most experienced and clinical finisher for the opening months of this season, the Blades have excelled when it comes to scoring goals. They have scored 17 goals in the opening 9 games.

Despite turning 37 early next year, Billy Sharp remains one of the division’s finest strikers. With the news of Sharp being fully fit, makes United’s attacking threat an even scarier proposition. Sharp will likely be named on the bench for the game against Preston North End.

Preston North End currently sit in 12th as of writing this, accumulating 12pts. They haven’t won many games, but they have been very hard to beat, drawing 6 of their 9 league games. They have scored 3 times, but they’ve only conceded 2 goals.

It will be the case of the 2nd best-attacking record in the league, Sheffield United, against the best defensive record in the league, Preston North End. Can the Blades extend their winning streak on Saturday?
