Manager Nigel Clough has said he’s expecting another tough trip against Wembley bound Walsall tonight.

Hear Clough Preview Walsall

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the game, Clough explained that he was hoping they did have one eye on the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final at the national stadium – but he wasn’t expecting it to be that easy.

‘Walsall are always a side that can cause you problems, they are especially strong at home. I don’t for one minute think they will, but we hope they have one eye on the weekend and their trip to Wembley. They are mid-table, but they have drawn a lot of games and that tells you they are resilient and difficult to beat. It looks like they are comfortable at the moment, but they will be conscience to chase the teams above them, rather than getting dragged down by losing games.’

Jamie Murphy has also been speaking to the press ahead of the game, and he told the Sheffield Telegraph that whilst recent results had been disappointing he doesn’t feel there is reason to panic.

‘The last few games have been disappointing, especially since we`d been doing so well up to that point. We just need to get ourselves back on track now and try and get those wins. It`s part and parcel of football. Dusting yourself down, getting back up and learning to stay strong and move forward.’

One thing Murphy confirms is that nobody is giving up this season though and they will be giving their all until the end of the season to get the results we want – starting with Walsall tonight.

‘There`s always a belief. We are never going to give up, I tell you that. This is a strong, tight bunch and, no matter what other people might do, giving-up is not in our make-up. We don`t do that here. We will go right until the last game of the season. If it is mathematically impossible, you try and go for the best place in the play-offs. But until then, we`ll definitely try and push up. We go into every single game wanting to get the victory and let`s see where it takes us.’
