Blades striker Ched Evans looks to bring a disappointing 2010 campaign to an end on a high this week, as the Blades travel to Portman Road to face Roy Keane’s Ipswich Town.

The striker, signed for an initial £750,000 from Manchester City in the summer, has hit just three goals in 32 appearances this season, but has been missing since early March with a broken collarbone.

However, following a late cameo appearance in the final home game against Swansea City, the striker believes wants to bring the curtain down on a positive note.

‘The Ipswich game is one I have been looking forward to for a while now after my spell with Norwich and it promises to be an interesting afternoon.

‘It has been a frustrating campaign, personally and for the team, but everyone is looking forward to next season and I hope to be fully fit and raring to go come August.’

Evans has failed to to trouble the scorers too much this season, but the potential of the former City player is unquestionnable, and should the Blades take a positive footballing approach into next season, as they’ve finished this one, Evans’ impact could become much more significant.
