I’ve made my feelings about diving clear a number of times on this site, but I feel that it is my duty to discuss Lita’s disgraceful behaviour on Saturday.
From the very first whistle Lita was throwing himself around with such aplomb that he would have made Ljungberg proud!
Four times in the first 45 minutes, and once in the second, the striker blatantly dived, and on one occasion there was no player within five yards!
All this could have been avoided if the referee (Mark Halsey) had booked him for the very first incident. Not only would it have sent out a message to the rest of the players, it would also have stopped Lita’s other four attempts for fear of being sent off.
Lita deserves fining for his behaviour, along with Halsey for letting him get away with it.
The strikers blatant cheating on Saturday was a disgrace to football as a whole, and an embarrassment to both Reading FC and Lita himself!
You really don’t deserve to be playing professional football Leroy! If that had happened in a Sunday League game you would have been both laughed off, and kicked off, the pitch. And rightly so!!!!!!!
