A seventh home defeat of the season was felt by Carlisle on Saturday afternoon with Sheffield United becoming the latest visitors to go away with the points.

It didn’t take long for Sheffield United to take the lead with Ryan Flynn (16) stabbing home to break the deadlock. Shortly before the break Nick Blackman (34) made it two.

Having been denied by the woodwork twice, and within a minute of each other, Carlisle were finally given hope late on when Danny Livesey (71) headed home.

However Neill Collins (84) secured a 3-1 win for The Blades late on.
