Club Captain Chris Morgan has told the official site how he believes the International Week will come as more of a hindrance than a help for the Blades squad.

‘These weeks give teams who are not playing well the chance to re-group and get players back from injury, but that is not really the case for us at the moment,’ said Morgan.

‘These things happen, we knew it would be coming up and we just have to get on with it and try to keep our run going against Derby at the weekend.’

Morgan, who sat out of the Cardiff game after Ugo Ehiogu had come in for the Blackpool game and played so well that he kept his place in the team.

‘The Gaffer said when he came in that whoever had the shirt, it was theirs to lose and Ugo has done well against Blackpool and Cardiff. I’ll just have to wait for my chance and perform when I get back in the team.

Morgan also gave an update of his week’s rest, and how he met up with United cult hero Rob Kozluk.

‘I took the family to Center Parcs and met up with Rob Kozluk. The kids get on well together and it was nice to meet up again – Blades fans won’t be surprised to hear that he’s as mad as ever!’
