Well, this certainly is a little bit of a snafu isn’t it?
Although it might not be a total dead end for us.
The Dean Henderson to Sheffield United has taken yet another twist. According to a report in The Sun, Manchester United would be willing to let us take the goalkeeper on loan next season, provided we pay the full £100k a week in wages.
Now given that our highest-paid player at the moment is Sander Berge at a reported £40,000 per week, it would certainly be a major step when it comes to the wage structure at the club, although as one fan did point out, it might actually be a rather smart investment.
Will Henderson be with us next season?
Yes
No
Either way, fans took it upon themselves to discuss whether or not paying that much to someone like Henderson would be worth it, with the majority of them believing that wages like that might be a step too far.
Man U will ruin his career before it even gets started by sitting him on bench all week next season…. that’s why we’ve bid for 2 keepers no way will we be paying 100k a week for Henderson

Wouldn't want us to pay £100k a week for @deanhenderson despite everything he's done for us. He's a great keeper and deserves everything he gets but this is too rich for our club. As for being at war with Man Utd, crazy words!!

Way too much. if we were to pay him that other players will get shirty.

For a decent keeper £15m isn't a bad price!

Can’t afford it. Move on!

No chance will we pay 100k a week for Henderson on loan…. Man U will come to a deal with us we’ve had good negations with them for past 2 seasons I’m sure they are willing to pay half of his wages…. or would they rather have a unhappy keeper sat on bench
