Sheffield United defender will complete his transfer to Leeds United tomorrow after a deal was finalised.
The 29 year old has agreed a £250,000 pound deal and could make his debut next week. It leaves the Blades with just two recognised centre backs and a replacement could be imminent.
Leeds boss Simon Grayson said: ‘We’re delighted to get things agreed with Leigh. He has good experience in the Championship and he will be a valuable member of our squad.
‘There was interest from a few clubs, but we’re pleased to get things agreed and Leigh will add competition for places within the squad.’
