Former Derby County full-back Jayden Bogle is set to feature against his former football club, Sheffield United, when Leeds United host the Blades tonight at Elland Road (kick-off: 8:00 PM), in their epic Championship dual match.

After four years with the Bramall Lane club, the right full-back signed for the West Yorkshire side this summer. He was signed by Chris Wilder in September 2020 (along with Max Lowe), from Derby County. Bogle made his debut against Burnley in a League Cup defeat before scoring on his Premier League debut at Brighton in a 1-1 draw. United suffered relegation that season and the defender was part of the squad which returned to the Premier League in 2023. However, their time in the top flight lasted one season before once again suffering relegation. In July 2024 he left the Blades to join Leeds United after making 103 appearances in all competitions and scoring 12 goals.

After losing the Championship Play-Off Final to Southampton last season at Wembley Stadium, Leeds have made a slow start to the 2024-25 season. With two victories and two draws the Whites are unbeaten in their last four matches and comfortably sit fifth in the Championship table and at an early stage look on course for a top-six finish yet again. Out of the nine league outings they have suffered defeat once at home to Burnley on 14th September.

Leeds boss Daniel Farke has yet to wave his magic which he performed at Norwich City as the Elland Road club searched for a return to the Premier League. The West Yorkshire club drew their last fixture 2-2 at Sunderland after the Black Cats scored in added-on time.

The Whites are expected to be without Daniel James (leg), Manor Soloman (hamstring), Maximilian Wober (meniscus), Ilia Gruev (knee), and former Sheffield United loanee Ethan Ampadu (knee), all through injury. Ampadu joined the Blades on a seasons-long loan move from Chelsea through the abysmal 2020-21 Premier League season which saw United finish rock bottom of the league. He made his debut in a 1-1 League Cup draw at Burnley – which saw the Lancastrians win 5-4 on penalties. The defender played 29 times for the S2 club in all competitions.
