Blades caretaker boss John Carver will have striker Daniel Bogdanovic available when the Blades host Hull City on Boxing Day, but believes he has a lot to prove is he’s to feature more often.
‘Daniel is full of remorse about getting sent-off and he is chomping at the bit to get back into the team. He realises we have just won, though, and he isn’t stupid enough to think he will walk straight back into the team.
Bogdanovic has been used as a bit part player this season, mainly coming on from the bench due to his inconsistent displays. The Maltese international has put some excellent performances in for United, but unfortunately his performance against the Boxing Day opponents has been replicated on too many occasions.
‘When he does, I want to see the Daniel Bogdanovic we saw at Nottingham Forest and not the one we saw at Hull.’
Regardless of form, Bogdanovic’s return will be a boost to the one available striker Carver currently has.
