Sheffield United progressed into the second round of the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy with a penalty shoot-out win at Scunthorpe United.

Goalkeeper Mark Howard was the Sheffield United hero, saving Andy Welsh`s penalty, as the blades players scored all five of their penalties to go through 5-3 after the game had finished 0-0.
