Vital Leeds have reported:

Sheffield United boss Danny Wilson says he wants to take Leeds United youngster Dominic Poleon to Bramall Lane.

The 19-year-old Leeds academy product has made his breakthrough into the Leeds first team this season making seven appearances and he scored in his only start against Nottingham Forest.

He also enjoyed a successful loan spell with League One side Bury where he scored twice in eight appearances before being recalled by Leeds in November.

Leeds boss Neil Warnock admittedly recently that he was hoping to send the youngster out on loan again this season to gain first team experience but he is not willing to let him leave until he has adequate cover in attack.

Blades boss Wilson admitted in the Sheffield Star that he had made an enquiry for Poleon. ‘Yes, Dominic is someone we are interested in.

‘We think he`s got something to offer us. But that`s all I`m saying because he`s not our player.

‘I`m only saying it because I`ve been asked a question and I prefer to reply truthfully. There`s nothing active at present but we have looked at him.’

Poleon recently signed a new two-and-a-half-year deal at Elland Road.
