Neil Warnock sends his troops into Monday nights televised
clash on the back of Uniteds 1-0 victory at Pride Park on Wednesday. Blades fans will be hoping for a much improved home performance against the Hornets who havn’t lost in their past 6 meetings to Bramall Lane.

Ade Akinbiyi is likely to make his first home start after his debut goal at Derby but it remains to be seen who will partner United’s record signing in attack. Despite being one of the seasons more consitent perfomers, the tiring Neil Shipperley may be replaced by ten goal Steven Kabba while Danny Webber remains sidelined and ths will not face his former club. There is talk of yet another striker joining the ranks in the shape of Geoff Horsfield but for now the Blades will have to make do with just the four fit forwards (!) despite the man at the helm admitting he needs to have at least six! Neil Warnock is otherwise expected to stick with the same squad to choose from although Garry Flitcroft and Bruce Dyer are pushing for places on Uniteds bench.

Watford go into the game on the back some good form winning their last 4 league outings, with their 4-1 drubbing of Crewe and 3-2 victory away at Norwich being the most impressive. They will field one of the leagues top scorers in Jamiacan international Marlon King who has already hit 13 goals this season. The high flying forward claims he is just ‘Doing his job’ but few would have predicted such a healthy goal return from a player who struggled at Forest last season. King adds ‘We’ll look to play at the same tempo, same approach. They are flying high at the moment but who’s to say that we can’t beat them like we have other teams? I’m sure it will be an entertaining game.’ Whether they are able to impose themselves on a Sheffield United team playing so well remains to be seen but this will certainly be one of the Blades strongest tests this season.
