An FA committee will meet on Tuesday to discuss the controversial sending off of Claude Davis in Sheffield United’s game with Everton on Saturday. The Blades decided to submit a claim of wrongful dismissal after Andy Johnson’s theatrical fall in the box led to Davis’ dismissal.
Dermot Gallagher’s decision to award a penalty and send Davis off was criticised strongly by Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock after the game.
