Oliver Burke is being linked with a move back to German football. According to Deichstube, Werder Bremen are monitoring the striker.

Oliver Burke signed for Sheffield United in 2020 from West Brom, with the player being involved in an exchange deal for Callum Robinson. The 25 year-old Scotsman has hardly set the world alight at Bramall Lane, and it’s been the same story wherever he’s gone.

Having played 25 times for the Blades in the Premier League during their relegation season, United fans know what to expect from Burke. Bags of pace, but no end product to go with it. Burke managed a goal and an assist in for the Blades in the Premier League, to go along with a bunch of frustrating performances.

As he was well down the pecking order for United in the Championship, barely getting minutes, Burke was shipped off on loan to Millwall in the January transfer window of last season. When fit, the forward got lots of game time and he offered the London club a focal point upfront which the fans came to like.

Burke was once with Bundesliga side, RB Leipzig, after they signed him for a big fee in the summer of 2016 from Nottingham Forest, supposedly of around £12M. Though, like pretty muh everywhere else, he failed to capture the fans imagination.

Now with Werder Bremen showing interest in the forward, does the Scotsmans future lay with the Bundesliga club?
