Sheffield United secured a crucial three points thanks to a late own goal at Bristol City.

The blades came into the game on the back of back-to-back defeats and desperately needed something at their fellow strugglers.

A resolute defensive display earned United the three points and they won the game with just 13 minutes remaining when Aden Flint turned Tony McMahon`s cross into his own net.

The win for the blades lifts them up to twenty-first in the League One table.

  • at last. don’t care how they come, 3 away points and a clean sheet is encouraging. Harrys 5th yellow so early in the season shows the pressure the defense has been under. Opportunity now on Tuesday to climb away from the bottom 4 and the pressure.

  • Big gate for City, must have been discounted tickets….my closest game to home and I missed it, still, the beach in Florida was some compensation! Good luck on Tuesday boys.
