Blades Looking For Double Brum Victory

|

Sheffield United will be looking to claim six points against Birmingham City in the space of four days as the Women face the Blues tomorrow at Stocksbridge in the Continental Cup, and Chris Wilder’s men’s side host their men’s side at Bramall Lane on Wednesday night in the SkyBet Championship.

SHEFFIELD UNITYED WOMEN
VS. BIRMINGHAM CITY WOMEN
CONTINENTAL CUP
SUNDAY, 16TH SEPTEMBER 2018 – KO: 2:00PM
@ STOCKBRIDGE PARK STEELS FC

Carla Ward’s side have already played twice in the Continental Cup – both away from home. They beat Aston Villa 2-1 before recording a 1-3 loss at Bristol City. Last weekend the Women kick-started their Championship season and begun with a 0-2 defeat at home to Durham, with both goals coming in the second half.

The match at the Look Local Stadium will be difficult for the Blades tomorrow. The Blues, who play their home games at Solihull Moors FC began their Women’s Super League challenge with a 1-0 victory over Everton and will prove tough opposition.

The Women’s side are poised to play their home fixtures at the Olympic Legacy Park (old Don Valley Stadium site). But until plans to build a purpose stadium, United will play their home games at Stocksbridge Park Steels Look Local Stadium. Tickets are £5.00 adults for this match – further information can be found on the Blades Official Website.

The men’s First Team face Birmingham City on Wednesday, 19th September and we shall supply a preview later on in the week for this match!
