Sheffield Wednesday took advantage of Sheffield United not playing at the weekend to leapfrog their Steel City rivals into the second automatic promotion place.

The Owls won at Leyton Orient to move into second place on 74 points, one more than The Blades who of course have a game in hand.

Chesterfield are Sheff United’s opponents on Wednesday night with the pressure on The Blades to respond to Wednesday’s weekend win and secure the three points against the recently crowned Johnstone’s Paint Trophy winners.

Can they do this though?
