Sheffield United made it six games unbeaten with a 0-0 draw at Stevenage but they would have felt they had done enough to earn three points.
The blades twice hit the woodwork with Aidy White and Jose Baxter both hitting the post.
Baxter also went close on two other occasions as he tried to make it three goals in three games.
Francois Zoko and Jordan Burrow went closest for the home side but neither troubled George Long in the blades goal.
The point sees United remain in 19th place in the League One table.
