Sheffield United suffered another blow in the pursuit of promotion from League One.

United went down to two late goals at Bramall Lane against Crawley Town and they have now failed to score in their last four home games.

Striker Paul Hayes, who is on loan at Crawley from the blades promotion rivals Brentford did his parent club a huge favour when he came off the bench with twenty minutes remaining.

Hayes firstly reacted quickly to a mistake in the United defence and he squared the ball for Billy Clarke to side foot home in the 77th minute.

On 84 minutes another defensive error saw Hayes get in behind the United defence and he slid the ball past George Long in the United goal.

It was one of those nights for United who saw Ryan Flynn and Mike Doyle both see efforts come back off a post.
