Sheffield United had to settle for a point, in a hard fought 1-1 draw against Walsall at Bramall Lane.

Chris Porter scored from the penalty spot on the stroke of half time to give the blades the lead, his third goal in four games since returning from his loan spell at Chesterfield.

Craig Westcarr equalised early in the second half when he headed home for the visitors.

Jamie Murphy went closest to winning the game for the blades but he headed just wide late in the game.

  • I had the misfortune to have to listen to the match commentary from Paul Walker. What an arrogant, self opinionated ass he is. The game was poor and lacked any excitement, but his whole attitude was derisory, he spent most of the first half reading out tweets, telling everyone that he wished he was where they were – Canada, Florida etc rather than at Bramall Lane. Is that really what fans listening to the match want to hear? I switched off at half time in disgust. No wonder his juniors at Rad Sheff get promoted ahead of him, Seth has a much better attitude.
