Blades boss Micky Adams expects to see some returns for tonight’s Championship game against Nottingham Forest.

The Blades who are still fourteen league games without a win, could welcome back Nick Montgomery and Joe Mattock to the starting line up, following their substitute berth at the weekend. However, Adams seemed secretive about the returns, which could lead the more optimistic fans to hope to see a return of the more long-terms injury victims.

“I would thing there will be a few differences. It`s probably not going to be the same.

I`d imagine that a few people might come into contention but I`m not going to say any more than that.”

Darius Henderson has been pencilled in by some sources for the visit to Watford, but could we see an early return of the big man, who has missed the entire season to date.

A return that’s certainly more likely is that of Mattock, who hasn’t featured since the injury he picked up against hometown club Leicester City earlier in the season.

“Like Monty, credit has got to go to Joe for getting himself ready sooner than we initially thought would be the case.

I suppose he could have strung things out for a little bit longer but he hasn`t.

He`s shown a determination and a good attitude.”

Shane Lowry is also available following suspension.
