Sheffield United battled to a 1-1 draw at promotion chasing Leyton Orient as they continued their fight to pull out of the bottom four.

Liverpool loanee Conor Coady opened the scoring for United halfway through the second half but Dean Cox equalised for the home side with just eight minutes remaining to deny them what would have been a crucial three points.

Goalkeeper George Long was in great form for United, making a number of great saves to deny the Orient forwards before Coady fired the blades ahead when he was found with time and space to fire home.

It seems to be the norm this season that the blades concede the goal of the day in League One and Orient`s equaliser by Cox was up there with them when he volleyed home from 20-yards.

Robbie Simpson came close to winning it for Orient but he was denied by Long and United substitute Jamie Murphy missed a great chance in the closing stages but he was denied by Jones in the Orient goal.

The point for the blades moves them out of the relegation zone.
