Former United defenders could feature for England…

Two former Sheffield United players will be in the squad for England’s clash with Wales at the weekend.

Evrton’s Phil Jagielka and Aston Villa loanee Kyle Walker have both been picked by boss Fabio Capello and could potentially both feature in the upcoming games.

The pair have been in excellent form this season, Jagielka at Everton and Walker at Villa after a loan spell with QPR where he excelled.

Despite a slow start to his career at Goodison Park, Jagielka has gone from strength to strength since reverting to a central defensive role and will be challenging for a starting role against ‘new’ captain John Terry.

Walker, who has found it tough to break through at Champions League quarter finalists Tottenham Hotspur spent the first half of the season with Neil Warnock’s QPR, but made the step up to Aston Villa in January where he has quickly endeared himself to the Birmingham-based faithful.

Despite spending less than a season in the first team at Bramall Lane, Walker became a huge favourite, and can still be found tweeting his support for the Blades on Twitter.
