Sheffield United continue to falter at Bramall Lane after being held to another goalless draw, this time by Carlisle United.

The blades have now drawn their last three games at home 0-0 and this one was made worse by the fact Carlisle played the last twenty minutes of the game with ten-men after Sean O`Hanlon was sent off for his second booking of the afternoon.

Carlisle were more than a match for the home side and they almost took the lead just before half time when Liam Noble hit a post.

Blades keeper George Long had already made a good save to deny Jon-Paul McGovern whilst Kevin McDonald had the best effort for the home side, seeing his volley saved by Gillespie.

Jonathan Forte had the best chance of the second half for Sheffield United but he fluffed his shot when in a great position.
