Blades Cooking Up Deal For McSheffrey

Kevin Blackwell has confirmed his interest in Birmingham City winger Gary McSheffrey stating that he’s a long time admirer of the player.

‘Gary is a player I have always liked and I am keen to get more depth in my squad.

McSheffrey joined the Blues for a £4million fee from Coventry City in 2006, but is unable to break into the team, with Alex Mcleish’s men riding high in the Premier League.

A loan spell at Nottingham Forest failed to materialise into a permanent move, and the Coventry born forward is still searching for a new club, with rumours stating he trained with Sheffield Wednesday last week.

However, with Blackwell’s latest revelation, perhaps his future could lie in the red and white half of the city.
