Sheffield United have been boosted by the return to fitness of two individuals ahead of tonight’s visit to Leicester City.

First-choice left-back Stephen Jordan has been missing in recent weeks, but should be available to redress the balance in the defence this evening. Fellow left-sided player Andy Reid should also be available after he missed Saturday’s defeat against Ipswich Town.

Speaking of Reid’s future at the club, United manager Gary Speed said: ‘It was frustrating we couldn’t use Andy,’ admitted Speed. ‘He’s a quality player. He’s back in contention now, though.

‘I’m not sure what the situation will be with regards to keeping Andy when his time is up.

The returning duo tonight could lead to changes in the side, with Jonny Ertl possibly dropping out, as well as Jamie Ward. Nyron Nosworthy is expected to revert to central defence.
